 Put session_write_close() before you make the CURL request.

$strCookie = 'PHPSESSID=' . $_COOKIE['PHPSESSID'] . '; path=/';
 
session_write_close();
 
$ch = curl_init($rssFeedLink);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
curl_setopt( $ch, CURLOPT_COOKIE, $strCookie );
